Yesterday we started two days of filming some elearning classes that will go live in about 3-4 months at learnartonline.com. This site will go live at that time. My classes will be demented gold leaf, surfaces, image transfers and one about gesso.
What did I learn? (A) I am definitely a morning person and get messier as the day goes on (B) Lighting can really make you look bad (C) I am not ready for prime time TV (D) It was a great time!
One of the ceramic pieces in my collection of the work of Max Lehman is about to go on the road to a show on the East Coast. This piece, Highway to Hell, travels more than I do.

A friend and I are always giving each other art challenges. The last challenge was the color pink which is not a color that I had felt comfortable with. I ended up doing a piece called Rouge Too and it sold right away. The latest challenge for me is water and I am half done - I will post it when it is finished. This is a great way to stretch as friends usually know what your comfort zones are and can help you push your limits.

Taking a break this week from pushing myself so hard. Just painting, reading, visiting with friends and that is about all. And it feels so good.
The assemblage here is a piece of my good friend Pat Chapman's that I love and own. Pat is a wonderfully demented artist with a wicked sense of humor. We are two wild and crazy girls when we get together. Almost too much to take.
