Cloth, Paper, Scissors

Just got the latest issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors and I am the featured artist. Yahoo. Well written article. It will be interesting to see what happens or not.

Just got back from Tucson where the weather was perfect. I was delivering 14 pieces of art to Jane Hamilton Fine Art on Skyline Drive in the foothills. One of the pieces was this collaborative piece I did with my friend Mary Parkes called Trust Fund Babies, 12" x 48". It was both fun and difficult to collaborate but definitely a great learning experience.

Dewrinkle Yourself

OK. I know. This is an odd post. I hate having my photo taken, I hate bad lighting, I hate wrinkles. However while playing around with my iphone taking pictures while holding it about my head I got this photo. No photoshop, no nothing. It took years off, no need for spackle to fill in the cracks and my one eye looks great. Made my day. So if you are having a bad day try this trick. It will lift your spirits!!!!

All That Glitters

This is my latest piece, Too Many Romance Novels #2, 25" x 14" mixed media on shaped canvas. Lots of gold leaf which I love. I have spent quite a bit of time in Venice and what city is more romantic except Paris. Winter in Venice is like a Gothic novel with the damp mist clouding every twisting walkway and taking us back to a different time. The story? How often we are entranced by the glimmer of the surface that we forget to look beneath the obvious only to miss seeing what other alternative may befall us.
