Clay Monoprints in the Classroom

As mixed media artists we end up with lots of scraps and practice pieces that we can either leave in drawers or cut up to use for collage. My class has been doing clay monoprints and inevitably they ask what do I do with them now. Here are two samples I did for class that shows how to use them.

Sanctuary, 8" x 8", is composed of several clay monoprints on fabric, the cleanup paper towel, with collaged book spine, stencil with faux encaustic on top.

Sojourn, 8" x 8", is composed of several clay prints on paper, image transfer, collaged elements and stencil.
