Hip Hip Hooray

Today the publishers sent us what the cover of the book will look like. The book is beginning to feel like a real tangible thing! Now I can get started doing the web site for the book which will be a lot easier.

Writing a book is a long hurry up and wait process and the emotions you go through with a first time book is very interesting. Actually Sandra and I were over-prepared in some areas so we did make the process more intense than it had to be. Oh well, two less publishing virgins!

The cover looks fantastic. Can't wait until it's released. You both must be so excited.

Hi Darlene,
Just stumbled across your work and so glad I did. It is beautiful...of course there are quite a few pieces I would love to own! I am also a mixed media artist (and had a book published by North Light as well! Can't wait to get yours when it comes out.) Anyway, I will be in Santa Fe the first week in May....I already am making a pilgrimage to Laura Stanzione's house, who I am sure who must know! Would love to see your work if it worked out??? Tried to leave a comment for you on your website but it kept saying invalid security code! Anyway, best of luck and happy new year! Laurie

Hi Darlene,
Something else I just thought of, if you do in fact come to Santa Ana to do a workshop, I could get you a teaching gig in San Diego...with an ocean view! Let me know if you are interested.....I am sure that we could easily fill it.
